The year is 1298 and William Wallace leads a revolt against King Edward I of England. Sir William's leadership skills are legendary, he leads the Scottish in a rout of the English army at the Battle of Stirling Bridge. William Wallace is the Guardian of Scotland.

The Irish lent a hand to the Scottish in their struggle against "Longshanks" as King Edward I was called. Many Irish were on hand at the Battle of Falkirk, which turned to defeat as the Scottish Nobles retreated from the battlefield, leaving William Wallace, Scottish and Irish infantry on their own. Most died at the hands of Edwards archers and heavy cavalry.

The Scottish are well known for their contests of strength. The Irish have no such games to pick their leaders. They rely instead on the results of a simple game of logic. The question is: "Who can control the Roundforts when they are most important?". The answer is the person with true battlefield leadership skills.
